This entire weekend was a blur. Lots of teenage girls laughing and playing, staying up all night, eating candy and listening to music.

It was my daughter’s birthday weekend and it began Friday evening with a total of 6 teenage girls all anxious to spend the next 24 hours together. Oh to be 14 again. So carefree, so happy and excited for the future. Their eyes are full of joy and great anticipation for the next great adventure.

It was fun to watch them and remember back to the time when I was in 8th grade. It seems like yesterday and a million years ago at the same time.

I hope my daughter will cherish this time in her life. I pray that she will enjoy these special moments and not wish her life away. Take in each moment as it comes, baby girl and praise God for every second you are given.

This weekend was beautiful and I’m so blessed to be able to watch my baby girl grow everyday.
